History of Anambra State Association Türkiye
Anambra State Association Turkey (ASA Turkey) was officially registered under Turkish law on July 23, 2010. The organization was established to unite sons, daughters, and indigenes of Anambra State of Nigeria who live, study, or work in Turkey. ASA Turkey serves as a community hub that promotes the welfare, unity, and cultural heritage of Anambra people in Turkey.
ASATR COVID-19 Relief Package
During the corona virus epidemic from ending of 2019 to 2021, Anambra State Association Turkey provided some relief packages to assist all the ASA Turkey members is Turkey.
Association second election
Anambra State Association Turkey elected their new Chairman in the name of Hon. Obiora Wisdom Anusi with his Vice Chairman by name Hon. Stephen Nwokedi.
Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah Visit
On the 19th of May 2013, a gubernatorial candidate for the upcoming Anambra State Governorship election in the person of Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (ebeubechukwu uzo) sent a representative in the person of Chief Somadina Johnson Anene (akuchukwu) to Anambra State Association Turkey (ASA TURKEY) general meeting to inform us about the good thing that is about to happen in our state through Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (Capital Oil & Gas CEO) and also asked for our support in any way we can to spread the good news.
Flood Victims in Anambra State
The Association aid the flood victims in our homeland in Anambra East and West with food and financial assistance.
Anambra Day
The association marks July 23 as "Anambra Day" in Turkey, celebrating its anniversary and achievements within the diaspora. The inaugural chairman was Chief Ben Egwuh, who played a pioneering role in confirming the official registration date and guiding the early development of the association.
A visit to the Nigeria Embassy Ankara
On Monday 8th October 2012, ASA Turkey Executive members (Chairman, Vice Chairman, Financial Secretary and P.R.O) Visited the Nigeria Embassy Ankara (on invitation), on the issue of introducing the Association to the Embassy. The Ambassador H.E. Mr. Ahmed A. M. MADORI was very happy to meet with the ASA Turkey Executives and promised that the Embassy of Nigeria in Ankara will assist the Association members where ever they can. The Chairman of the Association Mr. Ben Egwuh handed over a copy of the ASA Turkey constitution book to the Ambassador at the end of the meeting
ASA Turkey End of the year Party
Anambra State Association Turkey Celebrated the first ever end of the year and thanksgiving celebration party that brought all the Nigeria state association in Turkey, Europe and World wild to celebrate with them.
First Election
The association conducted their first election and elected the association first Chairman in the name of Chief Ben Egwuh (Alosi agba otoefe) with his Vice Chairman by name Hon. Obiora Wisdom Anusi (Ugoadalunwa).
